New OTG ash pans

For those of you with experience with the old ash pans and the new ash pans on the OTGs, which do you like better? I have a 18.5 OTS and weber is making the new style for it. 2 sellers on Amazon part number 65131.

I want to get an 18" and put an enclosed ash catcher on it, I've been scouring CL for one in good condition. I have a 22" OTG and the enclosed ash pan is a huge upgrade in my opinion.

I know the part you are referring to on Amazon - I have one saved in my cart!

Just not sure if I should order the old style or new style. I have a 22 OTG with the old style and it's great.

Ahh got it. I have the old style and like it a lot. I've played with the new style at Home Depot while ogling the MasterTouch - I think the new is a little easier but I'm worried it might not hold up as well in the long run.

Didn't even think of that. I should go to Home Depot and play around.
