Simple thighs

Needed to try a new rub so thighs got the call...no sides just thighs. I was very pleased with the new rub and the red oak combo.

The cooker, banked with bricks.

Chicken looks great! Did you finish them direct or cook indirect the whole time? What's in the new rub?

When I'm done I usually touch the skin over the coals to crisp it up a bit. I like s crispy skin...

Damn I love chicken thighs. They always talk about the oyster as the best part of the bird, but I love them thighs.
