First, Thanks to @reillyranch for delivering this to me - I owe you one!

So this is the old Cado I bought from Pastor Dan on the Brethren site.  It is cool, for sure!  But man is it rough - lots of work to do.  If any of you grillfellas have ideas on reattaching the bowl handle, I'd appreciate it.  I'm guessing my only option is to screw it back on.  I've got a feeling there will be a lot of screws needed for this project.  (The wheels are nice, though!)

Nice pickup J!

For that front handle you could take it to any metal fab shop and I'm sure they could drill a small hole on the bowl side then spot weld it from the inside. At least that way there wouldn't be a visible repair to the outside.

We have faith that you can make this cado look as good as ever.

Congratulations on the pickup! That bowl handle could be drilled through and then riveted back into place. Ace carries replacement metal hubcaps that are exactly like the originals or you could do plastic. Either style is technically period correct with PAT PENDING era metal wheels. Though the metal ones look nicer. This would make a fantastic cooker for sure! Love the Cados!

Yes!  Thanks for your help @1buckie!  Ed has been towing this grill around for months (my fault).  I got a cool grill and a new friend in Ed!

I will definitely put something up at Brethren

I'm going to clean her up and stop by a welding shop to see if they can attach the handle.  If not, I'll put the screws to it.

@zavod44 - looks like I'm gonna need another sweet handle.  What would look best on this Cado?

Personally I would go original on this one, just the standard walnut......
