friction clips for weber logo
« on: March 10, 2015, 04:12:58 PM »
Anybody know of part number or link on where to get replacement friction clips that holds the weber logo plate onto ss performer...one is rusted bad and the 2nd is missing...probably one good windy day away from hitting the grass.

Would love to hear of a mcmaster part number or home depot ??

I don't know what part you need, but I would just take a couple small drops of caulking, put on the backside of logo and stick it on. Use masking tape to hold it straight untill the caulking dries.

Whenever I have replaced those, I get the part from my local ACE hardware.  They have a bin full of miscellaneous little assorted clips.

Thanks...good tips..may just have to bring the logo plate into local hardware and see what fits..also thinking may be able to fab a clip outta some spare aluminum sheet metal...no rust solution
