Thanks to @Peaspurple for selling me this near-perfect F-Code.  My buddy is a big Bama fan, so I added some Tide swag.  He'll like, I think.  Also added the new ash catcher.  The legs and triangle cleaned up nicely.  I think it all came out pretty good!

JJ that thing is awesome.

If you want to take it even one tiny step further, grab a $4 wire wheel for your hand drill from home depot and give the Top Vent cover and rivet a quick hit.

Its a quick and easy job that i do when ever i flip kettles on craigslist. Polishing the vent and especially the rivet makes even on rough kettles look way newer.

For this grill it would be like "polishing chrome on a Cadillac".

Looks sweet! I don't know what it is but I really dig the new design ash catcher with the old red kettles. It just looks cool!

i am very confused by the bowl handle location and hood bale location on this kettle.

I only use kettles with lid bales.

An "F" Code Redhead started life with two bowl handles.....only way to add a lid bail is 'go sideways'......

It came to me with the lid bail already on.  Maybe @Peaspurple added it, not sure.

I like the new ashcatcher too.  Thanks to someone here who detailed how to mount it - in a previous thread!

Peaspurple

Yep, lid bail was added later. Looks great. Hard to see it Bama'd up seeing as I am a UGA fan. Oh well, maybe it'll bring them some bad luck with my Dawgs. Lol.

Ouch!  Sorry, man, must be disturbing to behold the Bama mods!

i see.  i'd probably swap the legs around so you can at least pull it straight with a handle.  you'd have to put the bale to a side but at least you can move it easily.

looks great, awesome red right there.
