You might call me crazy for asking but has Weber ever made A true purple kettle?

Secret Vikings fan are we? No shame in that!  I don't believe I've ever seen a purple standard kettle, but if one was made, it may have been made for custom distribution; i.e. customers like beer companies, etc. Outside the US is another story, they seem to have all the colors.

I have a maroon/ burgundy 18. Not sure of the correct color name

Well about ten years ago I thought I had seen a purple but I have been told that I was crazy that Weber had never made purple. Now fast forward to last week, I have a friend that knows I'm into Webers and is a cable tech. I got A call from him saying he was gaffing a pole and was looking at what looked like A OTG that was A true purple, he gave me the adress and I have done a drive by but the closest I could get with out hopping a fence was about a block out and wow there it was A purple. I'm going tomorrow to knock on the door and try to talk to the owner and get some photos maybe make an offer if its real.

P.S. yes I have tried google earth and no the image is no good the area is to rural.

I have that one, but it's black with a Vikings logo and an "NFL Edition" stamped handle. Wish it were purple though

Well I'm going to talk with the owner first. I'm wanting to see if this is a production purple or home spray job before I get to excited also I have to be careful I don't want to give them the impression that its worth its weight in gold. According to my buddy it's got some bumps and bruises. With that said I'm taking $100 cash with me and the possible offer of one of my blacks As a throw in.

What a royal way to begin 2013.  I have never seen or heard of one.  That is why this place is so great, 12/21/12 wasn't the end, there is a purple light at the end of the tunnel .

Ok I'm sorry, I guess I'm color Blind... I don't know how else to explain it. I look at it and i see purple.... I take a picture and look at the picture and I see.......................  Blue!!! WTF

Ok, so how did that play out.  Did you knock/ring the owner and just say "I have been preving a grill on your deck and want to check it out.  Oh and by the way I am not a freak.  Can I please come in?".   

At least this purple cow can have a good story.  You had to follow up, no harm in that.
