It will get polished up, and I'll probably black-out the vents. Had an old German-made AA clockwork tucked away in a drawer for 20+ years and it fit right in with just a little round-filing.

Sweet.

But why black out the vents? Turn your mechanism so the corners aren't visible through the vents and let your wall colour come through the polished vent. Or if used on a desk, a prop from behind won't be visible on the front.
If it breathes, we can cook it!

Hey Jocool, great minds think alike! This mockup was done so fast that all I had time for was to prop it on my Q cookbook shelf. Stay tuned for the update next weekend. Simichrome here I come!
