It's this stuff.....comes as a heavy sawdust / shread / small chip type stuff....
About 3.50 / bag on a good day.....can be found at the large sporting goods places where they have supplies for curing & smoking game meats.....



I've also hand-filtered a whole bunch of finer sawdust from the table saw when cutting down logs & stuff into useable size chunks.........
(the box in the background, just over the vent in the pic)





Only takes a few minutes to shuffle out the debris &* have really uniform medium grain sawdust for cold smoking & maybe even for the method above......haven't tried that out yet....
