2015 Redhead???
« on: January 12, 2015, 08:12:23 PM »
I came across a photo on FB earlier and it confused and excited me all at the same time.  This fine gentleman from Chi-town was eager to post a picture of his newly purchased Weber Kettle.  Now as you'll see in the photo, this is apparently a Crimson, but this doesn't look like any Crimson I've ever seen locally.  This looks a lot more old school Red than the Brick/Maroon that they call Crimson here.  He did mention that he bought it at a local Ace.  Any chance that Ace has the same exclusive on Kettles that they have on the Red Q's?  Heck maybe it's just lighting and I'm all excited over nothing.  Look for yourselves...

Pretty sure it's just because its in full direct sunlight... it also looks like they may have messed with the contrast of the photo a bit?

It's a Crimson. They do look great in person. Especially in the natural sunlight. I think these are the closest we'll get to the reds of old. They darken with heat like the old reds too.
