Thanks to a recent trade with @Stu Clary a package arrived yesterday with a sweet 22" Patent # Cado expertly packaged inside! Of course a photo was needed along side his older sibling the Pat Pending so here they are!

The bowl colors are exact, but clearly the lids have been sprayed with a different spray pattern with the Pending having a much wider band. The older Patent Pending lid also has a bit more of an emerald tone to it.

Originally the plan was to wait until today to start the cleanup but I couldn't resist sneaking back downstairs once the rest of the house was sleeping ;) It was relatively easy with a few spots that needed some TLC. Now that it's all cleaned up one of two will find it's way home to @Idahawk... He very unselfishly traded me his Cado awhile back but I think had second thoughts about it after it was sent. We then made a deal that if I were to get my hands on another it would go back to him. So here we are!!

lol - I have yet to decide which one will be sent back - they are both pretty damn cool  8)

Check out how close the vent is to the handle weld:

I'm a fool! I completely meant to post up details but as I was taking the first batch of photos it was pouring rain and the handle got wet so the coloring was off...

Stu also included an awesome Walnut zavod! Just gorgeous - thank you very very much! It's still a little damp and my camera is not doing it justice at the moment. It has an amazing matte finish to it and some beautiful natural graining. I've been drooling over it since it came in!

Beautiful kettles!  That Cado color screams "70s" - I think my parents had shag carpeting that color.

Nice to hear that one of them is going home to Idahawk.

Sweet pair O Cados and awesome of you to send one to idahawk. The PAT # Cados tend to have a more pronounced yet thinner mist ring than the PAT PENDINGS. Mine (22 PENDING) has a super light but fat mist ring to it. It's hard to make out with the naked eye. PAT PENDINGS seem to outnumber PAT #'d in the wild when it comes to the Carribean Cados.

Ida deserves the credit for passing it along in the first place, I'm just returning the favour!
