Weber advises me that the new metal table can be swapped for the thermoset and costs $63 plus 7 to ship.

Troy

Whaaaaat. That's cheaper than what they charge for the plastic table

Do you know the part #? I called them last week to see if I could buy one and they said they weren't selling them separately. Must have talked to the wrong person.

This is their email:
"The metal table will fit your grill and the part# 65189 and price is $63.40 plus $7.00 shipping."

That sounds like a great upgrade if you have the plastic table

All depends on how well you can apply paint on a large semi bumpy surface ;^)

Does anyone know about the new style lid bale? I think I saw on the Virtual bullet site that the new Performer doesn't have the holes in the same place as the older style. Anyone know if this is true?

I just ordered one of the new metal performer tables to swap out with the plastic table. I will post pics when it arrives and is installed! Thanks for the part number again!  ;)

Thank you for this post! I just got off the phone with Weber customer service and ordered a new steel table for my performer.  The CS Rep also threw in the bin chain at no extra charge.  This is my first post on the forum and very glad to be here!

I was curious to confirm if the metal work table would fit my 2014/2015 Weber Performer Platinum.  I wrote and email to Weber Customer Service to confirm it with them.  They responded that it is not made to fit my grill.
I responded by giving them the part number and informing them I read it online that others have done it with no problems.  They informed me they do not sell parts that are not intended for the right products.
I guess I need to know if anyone has put it on last years Performer Platinum.  If so, how to you get around Customer Service potentially refusing to sell the part to me.

Thanks for your help.
