Quirky handles?
« on: April 10, 2015, 03:56:56 PM »
The handles on one of my OTG's are off center by 60° (1/6 turn).

Am I nuts or is there no way for this grill to have the handles lined up like my other one?

If I turn it by 1/3 with the legs it's off kilter by the same amount on the other side.

see the back left leg and how it aligns with the back handle?
That's the leg socket that your front leg should go into. You have the legs installed incorrectly.

Some call it caddywampus. I call is NASCAR (drive in circles)

That makes sense. I bought it like that and couldn't get it figured out. As soon as it cools down I'll fix it. Thanks!

I almost always use that one. My other one is a little worse for wear.

I'm more interested in that picnic table - looks like it would survive a nuclear blast!

The top handle fell off. So I riveted it back on.

The ash pan barely goes in there and is as round as I'll ever be able to pound it.

The one touch "sweeper?" Isn't aligned so I made a mark at the fully closed position.

The handles are chewed up by a previous owner's dog.

The grate is falling apart and I don't know if it's worth it to buy another grate.

But...I keep it... Because I like it, sometimes need to cook for a crowd, and it was my first.

Haha yeah. I'm known for overbuilding things. My neighbors joke they could use my shed as a tornado shelter.
