I've been searching long and hard for one of these beauties, and now thanks to the generosity of member @Idahawk I can cross Cado 22 off my personal grail list!

Can't thank you enough Dave, and look forward to working out details on our next "Shipment" ;)

Still need to finish the vent cleanup/polish and also replace the handle (on order!) as the original no longer does the kettle justice. The lower vents were replaced at some point so for now I've used trimmed down wide tab vents a-la @Craig until I can find some originals to bolt on.

Bonus Teaser:

Hope you guys enjoy the photos - This has instantly become one my favorite kettles 8)

Thanks Max. I really enjoy taking photos especially of interesting things like kettles :) The avocado was tricky to photograph and have show up looking natural - it tends to look washed out and the fade is not as noticeable as it is in person. Yesterday was a bit overcast though so it really helped in getting a true representation of the color.

Cheers Craig, I decided not to clip off the second tabs as my cheap snips became very dull and I didn't want to butcher the clean circular edge. I'm going to file down and shape the tabs a bit more accurately when I get the chance. While doing the vent swap I did come up with a trick that leaves a really clean looking install with a rivet like head (carriage bolt) rather than a slotted head. I took a Dremel and trimmed off the top notched area of the bolt right by the bolt head so that it could fit in the standard circular bowl cut out. Since your just putting on a butterfly nut on the other side you can easily get it snug by hand.

Vents aren't flawless but are temporary.... the bolt fix however will stay! This of course could be used on top vents as well - 1/4" x 1" Stainless Carriage Bolts. 1" was the shortest they had in stock so I'll trim them with the trusty Dremel.

looks amazing.  Bloody amazing actually. Good to see you find one so sweet Matt.
