95 Green Master touch
« on: November 06, 2014, 06:27:30 PM »
Good Day from down under! I picked up my new kettle today, couldn't be more pleased. No chips, very little scratching (light). As a bonus the lady had all the original manuals and a cookbook which came with it. While a kettle of this age would be common place in North America I'm finding collecting kettles over here scarce to say the least. I have tried to track down the first year Webers were sold in New Zealand but very little info exists. I will need to do a rust removal job from the triangle, scrub up the vents mostly just built up cooking gunk.

Only major problem I can see is the leg without the wheel keeps falling out of its hole, seems very loose in its stay for some reason. Any ideas on how to make for a snug fit

That's a nice looking MT and should clean up real nice. For the leg, if you can find something to fit inside and flare it out a little to make it tight, it shouldn't take much.

Very cool! Did you grow up out west and how long have you been in NZ?

Glad to see you're rocking a Weber kettle 8) and a sweet one at that.
