Kmart has 75% off bbq stuff but all they had was whiskey chips and royal oak briquettes.  Looked in the garden center and scored a few bags.

I got that deal a couple of weeks back...seems to be decent charcoal to me.  I've used it twice so far and it lit and burned pretty well.
