I ended up 14th out of the 20 competitive teams, but finished 4th out of 10 in the amateur teams. Had 2 perfect scores and 4 other great scores so I'm happy with the results. Ribs were a knockout and within 15 minutes all of my ribs were gone for the public tasting...8 slabs worth!
KCBS is an interesting beast but I certainly enjoyed the day. Would probably do another even though it is a ton of work and prep for a sanctioned event. Couldn't ask for better weather either, sunny and 75 all day long.
Was also interviewed by a local cable TV station wearing my red WKC shirt, so we received some free advertising Troy!
