Happy Cooker sighting. need a reasonable price.
« on: September 25, 2014, 06:49:44 PM »
a friend of mine sent me this pic and asked me if i want it.

but i don't know what a fair price would be, neither does he.  so he's asking the owner what they want.

what's a reasonable price for these things?

it's not a gas model, the can is for the one next to it.

any help appreciated.
I only use kettles with lid bales.

I paid for $75 for one that has a perfect lid and bowl. The bottom half could use some work.

A gas kettle of any kind is rare , these were only around for 7-8 years .

$35-$50 is fairly reasonable, IMHO.

If it has the ash pan inside those go for $25.00 by themselves ^^^^^
$25.00 - $50.00 is fair

Does the lever/control in the picture raise & lower the charcoal grate?  If it works I'd be willing to go $50 for it delivered to Union Station (I.m thinking of taking Amtrak)  8)
Looking for a RED 26" Kettle & a tabbed no leg RED 22" Kettle near STL. Copper Sam Adams SJ anywhere 8)

thanks guys i appreciate the input!  i told him i'd do $35 if it's in as good of condition as it looks.  not sure where in chicagoland it is.  probably within 25 minutes of me though.

Yep, I would pay 15 for the internal ash pan and 0 for the kettle.
