Just for arguments sake .....

It is possible that no M codes exist, and yet the performer was released in 1990.  We may need to re-allign our thinking, because I have seen, as have others, grills released in say October with the next year's date code on it.  Plausible that this happened in 1990-1991.

This appears to be the best theory so far, unless someone can come up with the elusive M code ;)

No argument from me. :)

If I buy a 2015 car right now, it's still a 2015 car.

Sorry for the late pics...and poor photo.  The flash f'ed up the vent photo.  Hope I didn't toss a monkey wrench into your theories.  Its a "M" code.
I must add...I'm not the original owner.  I also cannot guarantee that at some point this lid was or was not replaced.  Unlikely, but possible I suppose.

Kettle collector AND cooker!

Very cool, and gas-assist to boot! Did you add the 4th tool hanger or was that a privilege only awarded to M codes ;) :D
