Where these ever released in the USA ?
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Yes they were, not sure what years.  I have an old 600 series from 1996 or 1997.  When were they available in OZ?

Not sure.... I bought a Weber Recipe book today called Barbecue Magic.
It was written for the Flat-Top Gas BBQ's
Judging by the Weber logo I'd say some where in the 90's

Weber Oz started distributing it to there dealers last year I think
It's great lump but super expensive
An 11 lb bag is $25, normally I pay $35 for a 55 lb bag

The 600 series flat top Weber did not have a lid.  It came with a Gas n Go lid if you needed to cook something under a cover.
