Coffee Steaks
« on: August 25, 2014, 05:36:37 AM »
Start out with some good looking New Yorkers

First the rub: 1/2 cup of ground coffee, 1/4 cup each of kosher salt, course ground pepper and brown sugar. 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and a 1/4 teaspoon of chilie powder.

Mix the rub ingredients

Paint with olive oil. It's important to use only the finest ingredients, so I used Extra Value brand olive oil, from Super Wal-Mart.

Apply the rub to both sides of the steaks

Don't forget the onions

and green veggies

Coffee steaks!  Black on the outside, medium rare pink on the inside

Dinner served
