New or Euro Performer model?
« on: August 20, 2014, 09:18:40 PM »
Saw this in another post:

I abuse my table too much, if I had a butcher block table it would be ruined...

So, what do you think about some sort of veneer or plywood then, that you could replace every year or two and not feel bad about it?  Plausible or no?

Why not just wait till Weber makes these tables available?

Whoa, wait a minute!! Do you see how much longer the plastic roller on the lid bail is? I think Weber has been listening to our complaining about how the Performer won't open up wide enough. I'm wondering if that longer roller and lid bail is a fix for that problem. ;D

I looked on that blog post and saw that Performer from another angle. It definitely sticks out there farther.

I just noticed that Gummi already noticed the extended lid bail and mentioned that in the original post. I made a comment on Mike's blog post and asked about that Performer. I hope he replies.

Mark - Thanks for the comment on my blog!  Consider those pictures sort of a sneak peak of what is coming in the very near future. I was too busy using them to notice all of the changes, but suffice to say there were wonderful as always to cook on!

Sorry I'm sorta vague...but fear not, they are the real deal.

I wonder if that new style lid bale will work on the older SS performers.

It was the first that I noticed.. It's not a color that will grow on me..
