SA Agent
« on: November 03, 2014, 07:57:28 AM »
I saw this thread mentioning SA only accessories http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/weber-manturion-griddle/15/

Went to the SA website to have a look https://www.weber.co.za/accessories/general-accessories/general-accessories.  They have some interesting accessories, including the grill, pizza oven, warming rack and charcoal baskets.

I poke around and find these guys: http://www.braaishop.com/product-category/braai-accessories/weber-braai-accessories/ that sell these, and more, including full grills, online.  On a whim I email to ask if they ship internationally.

It turns out that they have a mail forwarder they partner with for international shipping.

http://www.bokpos.co.nz/

Right now, the Forwarder website is down, which may not be a good sign.

But, at any rate, if you got to have some of these accessories, this may be an option.  I don't know what delivery will end up costing.

there are often proxy services that you can use for buying items from different countries.  they would work similarly to how agents work here for us but with a fees for services/packing/shipping etc.

in japan for instance you can use rinkya.com or jauce.com, to name a couple.  there are plenty.  they can buy from a store or from an online auction locally.

i'm not aware of one for SA but the one you list may be legit.  i have no idea on that one.

i'm sure a good freight forwarder may be able to assist as well, never thought of that option.
I only use kettles with lid bales.

I have bought a couple of things from the braaishop over the years.
They are very reasonably priced.

My latest braaitoy was one of these:

Next on my list is one of these:

I will get a quote to see how much its going to cost to ship to New Zealand.

Braaishop is an awesome option for us Saffers. I bought a one touch ash cleaning system from them. The other option is Wantitall, but be careful of pricing.
