Rotisserie Ring Fit

Looking to see if anyone has run into issues with the fit of the kettle ring on the rotisserie. Just picked a new one up today and the diameter of the ring seems a bit larger than the kettle lid. I have to force the lid down to fully seat it. I'm thinking about giving Weber customer service a call. Anyone experience the same issue?

I bet something is out of round. (lid, ring, both)
Try rotating the lid slowly and see if theres a spot where it drops right in and fits.
They're typically not out much, and it's easily correctable with a light bear hug.

I've always had gas... And now a bunch of kettles because of this place. Thanks!

Mine usually takes some wiggling to line up. Idk, probably nothing to worry about provided it isn't gouging the enamel.

Exactly, it seems out of round. It really doesn't want to seat on the lid. I'll see if I can bend it back into shape .
I love the smell of a evening cook...
