I stumbled across this and finally decided to pursue it. I am going Friday to take a look at it. I don't have much experience so curious what everyone thinks as far as age and condition. From the picture it looks to legitimately be grey.

Looks to be a faded black 22. Probably 80s-90s vintage. It's got the daisy wheels for bowl vents. Hope your pick it up! And welcome to the site! :)

MacEggs

Go get it ...

Looks like they used their camera used for UFO sightings:o ??? :o ;D ;) ;)
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

argentflame

Yup. Go for it and welcome to WKC.

not impossible that it's as early as mid-70's.....they make great smokers....I have several.....this one looks a little worn, but you could still probably see if there were major chips & stuff.....faded Blackie, but will most likely clean / fix up nice.....knock the price down by telling them handles are expensive, quite a bit of cleaning involved, etc.

Uoop !!!!!

Right while I'm looking at it & typing this:

$25 price drop OBO

Yeah, would not pay $50. $25 is more reasonable, may try for cheaper. It has been on clist for over a month. There is a blue master touch nearby also going for $30 but can't get ahold of the seller.

Not a 70s I don't think. Wood handle on the bowl is falling off, but it is a three wheeler.

I'd offer no more than $20. But I am a cheap ass.
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan

Yeah, maybe not quite 70's.....big tab / big tab on the vents.....I blew it up & hard to tell, but looks like not much chipping at all....a little on the side you can see....$25's worth it....

here's what these things will do, mhiszem:

You can feed a nice thin flow of air in & get an even low / medium temp going for some real good BBQ

keep trying on that Blue one....that would be worth it if it's in anywhere near decent shape...people that have those ones tend to take care of them pretty well usually......

faded black will be the brother to the faded Red that I sold your friend.  BTW have you picked that up yet?
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.
