Weber Q Cyclops

Not charcoal but I thought I would post my new mod to my Q-200 anyway.  I think you can see why I refer to it as the cyclops.







Granted, it's a bit overkill for this grill, but isn't overkill is what WKC is all about?

Is that a thermometer and bezel from a summit ??

Dave, yes I believe it is from a Summit.  I bought if off eBay for $21 including shipping and the add said off a Genesis 310, 320 or Summit.  Based on that I wasn't sure if I was getting a Summit or Genesis thermometer.  I've got a Summit S-420 and yes this is the same size.  Again, overkill but awesome!

I've done this on my 200. It's a handy addition.

I really think it's a big improvement.  I really like my Q200 but the thermometer makes it much better.  It was an incredibly easy mod.  Just some masking tape where I was going to drill and a regular bit.  Nothing fancy.  The aluminum lid drills surpisingly well.  Very smooth and clean.
