Reuben on the grill
« on: July 02, 2014, 07:04:27 AM »
A while back we made some corned beef on the grill, shredded it up to make Reubens.

Looks great! I had one the other day. Took it another step. I warmed the kraut and pastrami in the microwave first and then set the assembled sandwich on a hot tortilla griddle and set a hot grill press on top of that. With the griddle and press preheated to about 500°F you get a really nice grilled reuben! (And I love my IR thermometer for checking temperature on stuff like that.)

Sandwich looks more than great. I never thought of corned beef on the grill, did you soak it first or do anything for the salt content before throwing it on the grill?
