Kettle light
« on: July 09, 2014, 08:25:59 AM »
Anyone know of a light that attaches to kettles. I see ones for gassers all the time, but don't think I've ever seen one for a kettle.

I've found that this light works pretty well on my SS Performer. Weber 6427

Cool idea, Bob. You can probably clip that on a bowl handle to light up the grates at night.

Thanks Bob.

Do you think the jaws on that could fit the handle of a kettle. I could use one for my performer but I usually use an OTG for the overnight cooks.

We just bought a new house and moved a couple of weekends ago... all of my bbq equipment (aside from the essentials) are still boxed up. As soon as I dig out the light, I'll see how well it attaches to a kettle handle and let you know.

What about just using a head lamp? That's what I use when I start my early morning smokes.

Thanks again Bob.

Blackdog, I've used a headlamp before but I'm always misplacing it between trips to the grill. I thought it would just be easier to have something attached that I couldn't walk away with and leave somewhere.

I just dump more lighter fluid on the coals. Plenty of light then! Burp

I've used these outside before around the grill and they work pretty good. They have adhesive on the back, so you can put them wherever you want.
