The Cosmic Power of the WKC
« on: July 15, 2014, 06:27:53 AM »
I came across this amazing community back in November and it was all thanks to member Dave O spotting a WTB craigslist post I had made about wanting a colored kettle. Of course I had stolen one of Jeff's brilliant collection shots ;D so he no doubt found it amusing and shared it with the forum. Jeff then reached out to me with a friendly hello and the rest is history! (Original post below)

Well today while searching the Portland OR craigslist (I have a secret agent there! :) ) I spotted a kettle that looked mighty familiar... and that's because it was my own!

Here's the new WTB post, I am going to give him a call shortly to not only say hi/invite him to the site but also may be able to hook him up with a red  ;)

I'll update once I make contact with our friend "Ryan" - My lawyers will also be contacting him with details regarding the copyright infringement lawsuit.

;D ;) ;D

Matt - pretty funny.  I am in Portland today, saw that C/L posting and thought of you.

Had the same thing happen to me in Sacramento - saw a picture of my kettle (and Jeff's) in a wanted ad.   Contacted the buyer.  Ended up very much a win - win.

Spread the word...

I received an email back from Ryan who seems like a real friendly guy! He has a growing weber collection including a couple WSM's, a blue 22, and a NIB Simpsons 22! I not-so subtly plugged the WKC and he said that he was aware of the site and has stopped in a few times for Weber info. Hopefully he decides to sign-up and say hi on the forums! Sounds like he would fit right in  8)

Happy hunting all!
