That I am, but that's not really the intended topic.

:o

I have a Performer, and noticed yesterday that one of the nuts that holds on the lid rod in place had come off.

I have been putting all of the ashes into a giant paper yard waste bag, so I got out my trusty metal detector, and sure enough, something metal was in that bag.  After about an hour of sifting, I found the washer, but no nut.  So I have no idea where the hell it went, but it is definitely missing.

:-\

Here is my question - how hard is it going to be to find another one?  Any suggestions?  I have the other one for reference - it has a lock washer on it.

Should be fairly easy.  I think it just a "crown nut", or non-nylon locking nut.  Should be able to pick one up at a hardware store.  Maybe

Find yourself a "jam" nut or all steel self locking nut at an Ace or True-Value.

Get two.

Put them on and you won't lose them again.
