Jeff, you could not pass that thing up. Man it is in very nice shape and after you get it cleaned up it will look great.
So this is your second Imperial Sequoia?

Sequoia number 2...yes.  But not for long most likely.  Agent X may or may not be involved in this storyline

Very nice! The lid vent combined with the larger tabbed bowl vents puts it in 1976-77 era, however rolled edge ash pans came out in 1979. I wonder if it is a replacement pan? Jeff is the ash pan the same size as a standard 22 OTS pan? Just curious. At the end of the day this is a kick ass score!

Good call Craig, I think you're right on the ash pan.  I have a mid 80's 22" grill here with that same ash pan.  I bet it is a replacement.

So I spent a some time this weekend cleaning the Sequoia up.  Did a light power wash on it and with all the dirt came off, as well as lot of the original stain too.   Some of the boards on the table really need to be replaced from being weathered and start of rot.  This cart would be really sweet with a whole new table and replacing the missing door panel on one side.  I cleaned up the lid which is very nice.  Also cleaned up the bowl, but it does have chips around the welds of all 4 grate straps.  One of the vents needs to be fixed with a large stainless washer too.  Overall the cart is solid aside from some of the table boards.
Here are some pics after the power wash, and then after I put a light coat of stain on it to protect the bare wood.  Its still a nice looking grill!

The cleaned up pics!

Hanging out with the newly redone Seville.  Didn't have enough time to get the Coppermist Sequoia in the photo with these two yet.

Nice!  So it came w/ the door board and hardware?  It just wasn't attached?  I really like Sequoias.  If I'm ever lucky enough to get one, I think I would quit looking for kettles.....maybe.

There was a board missing on one of the doors.  You can see it in the unfinished photos.  It will have to be replaced.

Looks awesome Jeff! The good news is that spade strap cabinet hardware can still be had at Depot or Lowes or Ace...

The cabinet hardware is different on your copper mist, yes? Like more "Mediterranean" style?

Wow!   That looks really nice.    I too like the "aged" wood look.   Well done!

Looks awesome.  The Sequoia is to me my holly grail of Weber grills.  One day I will find one.  If the coppermist is like a brownie looking kettle then that would be even better but then again any Sequoia would be awesome.

Jeff what a score. Man the clean up on the kettle really shines against the wood. Nice choice on stain color.
