So thanks to a quick alert from Hank, I was able to pickup a Red Sequoia last night that listed nearby to me. Its overall in decent condition. The cabinet has a board missing from one of the doors, so the original pull handle hardware is gone too on that.
Based on our Age Guide and Vent Guide,
http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/wkc-vent-guide/msg48470/#msg48470, this Sequoia is from 1976-77. Certainly one of last years off the production line that I've seen. It also has the newer style white-walled wheels, large tabs on the bowl, and rolled ash pan.
Here are some photos I took last night. Sorry they aren't the best since it was in my garage after dark.
I'll try and clean it up or power wash it at least today and get some better pics.
Very dusty and dirty cart
Original "rolled lip" ash. Needs "a bit" of straightening.
Missing board on cabinet door.
"Newer" design wheels
Red lid. In pretty good condition actually. Will clean up very nice. Only 2 small chips along the lip of the lid.
Vent pics. Engraved "Weber" logo. Odd, but the engraving process was really very light, or didn't go deep enough. The "W" and first "E" are barely even noticeable.
The bowl has its fair share of issues...nothing horrible since it doesn't show anyways when its in the cart. Has chips where the weld spots are for the grate straps, has some crazing and smaller little chips as a result of heat damage. The charcoal grate was shaped like a "bowl" from the heat when I first got it.
Oh yeah, and lastly, it even came with an old corn and tater ring in fair condition
