Bacon wrapped bourbon pork loin
« on: June 08, 2014, 11:47:37 AM »
So this is happening right now.

I butterflied it and seasoned the inside with big poppas money rub, Dijon, brown sugar, and Jim beam maple. Top is seasoned with simply marvelous sweet seduction and snuggled under a maple bacon weave.

Smoking it on the 26 with peach and maple wood as I whip up some bourbon glaze.

That looks really good Troy.  I like your preparation and think I will have to steal your idea for use soon.  Thanks.

Looks great Troy. Big fan of food and whiskey or bourbon.

Thanks guys. Crazy thing here, 9 hours later the grill is still at 325.

Started with 1/3 fresh lit coshell added to a full chimney of previously used unlit coshell.

Magical charcoal.

thanks guys. it was a big hit.
fork tender and just LOADED with flavor

it's not as difficult as it looks either, and its pretty cheap for the amount of people it will feed. It fed 11 adults and there's probably enough leftovers for tomorrows lunch AND dinner for my family of 4.
