I apologize for the image, I don't have this in my hands yet ,  it's a black and white cookbook with Weber Barbecue Chef Arthur Ohisson dated 1970. I'll post the rest when I get it in a few days , I thought the chefs name may be of interest , can't find anything about him .

Nice find! I love all the vintage cookbooks and recipes..

That Chicken A La Vermouth recipe is in the 2013 edition of their new cookbook. They show the original recipe and a "remix" that takes out the vermouth and. MSG... ;D

The chicken  A la vermouth recipe came from a 1960 Weber cookbook. I'll take a look at the reference when I get in the house. I'm currently frying chicken on a Cado ;)

For nostalgia lovers, Weber has dusted off a few classic recipes from days gone by—like Chicken ala Vermouth, Salmon Loaf, and Broccoli Casserole—to offer a fresh take on these old favorites, demonstrating once again how far grilling and today's modern taste buds have evolved. Fun Recipe Remixes include Rosemary Chicken Basted with Garlic Butter, Salmon Filets with Roasted Corn and Sweet Tomato Salsa, and Quick-Grilled Broccoli with Bread Crumbs and Parmesan.

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Is 23" kettle correct ?

Sure. Just as much as 14, 18, 26 or 3ft. --- figures rounded.

Meant to note yesterday that I like the casual tone of the cookbook, and also written obviously for the person new to kettle cooking. Today's manuals are so stiffly-written by legalese and the bare minimum of instruction. But I think each generation has enough newbies that the basics continually are forgotten, and that a failure of sorts for their marketing.
