A Weber moment

Sitting outside on a cool summer evening, glass of Clase Azul in front of me, first day of vacation, the smell of oak wood smoke drifting out of the Ranch as we settle in for an overnight pulled pork cook.  Don't get me wrong - I love the thrill of the hunt for rare and unique kettles, but nights like this are what Weber kettles are all about.

Cheers,

Thats good living right there.

Heyjude

The Ranch Kettle.. Its what dreams are made of..
Does that sound a bit strange to anyone else? Just a little bit?
OK, you know you have Weberitis, if sitting on your deck, and the allure of smoke and pork get you excited.. You got it bad..

Don't go gettin' all mushy here......

Can't help the mushiness - my little girl is getting married here this weekend. I have been working on my father of the bride speech.  Mushy stuff

Plenty of pics of the cook to come later today

Hmm...now what kind of wedding gift would a Father like you give to your little girl and her prince? How many stories have we heard about kettles given as wedding gifts showing up many years later with stories to tell? Only question is which one?

Good luck with the wedding Winz (and Mrs Winz). We married off our two kids within three Months a few Summers ago. Good times. Now with three grand kids the mushiness never ends.

What better way to say "welcome to the clan, son" than a beloved, broken-in Ranch?
hopelessly, helplessly, happily addicted to a shipload of Webers

Heyjude

Easy now.. A Ranch to the son in law?
Are we sure this marriage will last?  Maybe start off with a Performer or a OTG.. A ranch.. that's something best left for an inheritance..

As for the speech.. go with your instincts.. a little intimidating humor to the future son in law..
But if he has already brought you fresh Halibut form Alaska, he has to be a keeper!

Good advice AJ.  I have him on an 18 OTS currently, and have introduced him to chimney starters (NO LIGHTERFLUID!), indirect cooking, and charcoal reuse.  We are taking it slow and easy - no Ranches will be given away until there are enough grandchildren to justify it.
