The plastic lawnmower wheels are a tacky touch.

Itís a rare piece of grilling history, though.

Looks to be unrestored.  Does anyone know if the vents are just discolored or if they were galvanized back then?  Not sure what wheels would look best.

Talked to the owners buddy. These guys are pickers and he picked it up for $5 ...also believe there is some shill bidding going on. I told him I was going to bid up to a certain amount, and nothing more. When I left his house I was out bid...an hour later the bid was retracted. Something definitely not right about this deal...just a feeling.

Itís unfortunate that this kind of thing is going on if thatís true. I just want to know where people are finding these $5 Chicago era Kettles?

Iíd love to know too! Apparently, theyíre pickers and scrappers...this one was in the scrap yard I presume. And yes...most definitely happening. I am going to report to eBay.

Best of luck to anyone bidding on this one.
Seller is a former member here.
Look up Usergone or SmokinPerformer.

@kneab ...Former member for a reason? Seemed sketchy to me. Friend seemed nice enough but after I told him what I was going to bid...I got outbid and then I didnít bid again, high bid got retracted. Canít prove anything...just something doesnít feel Kosher. I could be wrong and overly cautious...just trying to keep my fellow brother and sisters safe...and sellers honest [emoji1303]❤️[emoji481]

Kneab, I was just notified that my old user name was brought up on this post.  So here you find me activating a new member account to join in on the fun.
I can assure you that This particular Weber Brothers Kettle currently on eBay does not belong to me and I am not the seller.  I donít know if the seller is a current or former member of WKC. If he isnít, I donít blame him/her.
From my little time spent reading here in the past. Itís easy to notice that whenever its about a rare kettle being up for grabs, then itís all elbows and assholes and a fight to pick it up begins.  I too fell victom of this rare Weber fever and just hated myself in the end.  Reguardless what incounters happened with me and some of these great guys here in the past or whatever She said.. this 1956 Weber grill ainít mine. No offense.
Wish this Weber Chicago grill was mine, Iíd restore it and cook on her..
