THE RED WHALE-Red Budweiser RANCH in Georgia $2000
« on: March 13, 2019, 04:55:35 AM »
Claims it was used at the 1996 Olympics games in Atlanta, but the handles are early plastic ones that were shaped like the wood ones.  Either replacements, maybe they actually used them on the Ranch long before other kettles, or the story is BS.

In any event, it is a BIG RED BUD RANCH.  He is asking $2000

I found it posted in Chicago.  https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/for/d/carrollton-weber-ranch-kettle-budweiser/6840089066.html

If you do a search on Budweiser Ranch, you will see a number that have popped up for sale over the years.  Many with a more ordinary price for a used Ranch.  This Red whale also has a whale of a price.

I thought it was overpriced too.  Seems like you'd have to be BOTH a really big Weber fan & a really big Budweiser fan.
It's cool, but if I were going to spend $2000 on Weber stuff, I'd probably spend it on something else.

Hal

I'll trade you your red non-logo for a BNIB vintage Smokey Joe that is an olive color.  (Before you ask, no, it is not Sage or Avocado).

I really could really use something like that to store & display my SJ collection.

Those handles were used for sure on the earliest Performers... my O code has that same handle. Not sure what year they stopped using that style plastic handle.  They are not like the wood handles... they're the same as the next plastic handle, aside from the ridges.  This Ranch very well could have been used at the '96 Olympics... just because it was used there doesn't mean it was made that year  ;)

There have definitely been a number of red Budweiser RKs posted, as well as some black Budweiser logo'd ones.  The non-logo'd red is definitely more of a red whale.  I know that one of the Aussie's has 2 ivory logo'd RKs, and I just saw a FB post by @swamprb talking about a blue RK.  Would love to see that one!

I fit both of those, but $2K doesn't fit my billfold.   :)

Carrollton is only about 15 miles west of me, if anyone has reached out to the owner and is seriously interested in this grill.
