You can find gaskets, door lock kits on Amazon. You can also add a ninety degree elbow pipe to the exit in the smoke chamber to draw heat and smoke lower through the chamber. And baffle plates with 1 inch holes to help distribute the heat and smoke evenly from right to left.

Enjoy!

Love to find one of those. How thick is the cook chamber on them?

Both in the pic are 1/4" thick (early Perry, OK plant models).  They became progressively thinner over time.

All these PK "wants" has got me thinking I may put mine up for trade. It's not an old one though.

@Rub   I'm in.  I have a "Very Limited Edition Red" in it's original box I could part with.  I can meet up with you in San Diego.  Looking forward to making this epic trade.

I have a 1950's PK made in Tyler, TX. I loaned it to the grandma living on our street. She wanted to try grilling for her grand kids. Fun to watch her enjoy grilling.

Nice score, I have always wanted to try and cook on one of these.
Would be very interesting to learn it's good points.
Looks to be a solid unit hefty. Not thin gage steel.
