Royal Oak 15.4lb. briquettes are $4.00 a bag at Loweís.  Can usually find a online coupon to bring cost down more.

Check your Walmart for this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Western-30LB-Hardwood-Lump-Charcoal/375025590

Not a Memorial Day sale, but a temporary product it seems. Only used it a couple times so far but no complaints. 30lbs for $10!

I too have bought a bag of this, I have not had the chance to use it yet, sadly it has been raining just enough to be annoying.

@Kingsford Charcoal Super Sale Is On At Walmart
Charcoal sale day. $7.88/two 15lb bags of Kingsford and trying out a 30 lb bag of Western Lump which was $9.88 per bag. So 26 and 33 cents per pound at Walmart . I always stock up when Iím low and can buy during the annual Memorial /Labor Day and Fourth of July Super Sales. #bbq

Has anyone heard if Weber charcoal will be on sale anywhere.  My Lowes shows 0 inventory.

I grabbed 8. It's charred wood, it can't suck.

Anyone with concerns over the Western 30# bags from Wal-Mart: You got nothing to worry about.

I did burgers & bacon knots for breakfast. It started great with minimal popping & snapping, had no off smell, decent sized lumps and burned like a champ.

I bought 8 bags but may go back for more, or watch when they clear it out later in the season.

I think that 30lb Western "Special Purchase" bag for $10 will be the unsung deal of the year. Not because it's the cheapest charcoal per pound (it's not) but because it seems to be good lump for a good price. The only reason why I only have two bags is because I haven't yet brought my truck for the rest.

Thanks for the tip.  Picked up 12 bags.  I think I could've fit 16.
