It has begun: The annual Weber clearance at Target.
« on: July 10, 2018, 03:35:31 PM »
No link, just something I saw on FB's Weber Kettle Fans group, the Original Kettle Premium ($149) for $44.98 at SOME stores.

Last year you may recall Target cleared out Weber charcoal for (eventually) just under $6/bag. So look for anything Weber to be discounted from now until it's gone this year.

Target is, as far as I know, the only major retailer to discount (via annual clearance) Weber products. (Although I think a few Walmarts sometimes do also.)

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Every year I dream of stocking up on 22" grates, but this year I am overwhelmed with more grates than grills.

Maybe I can score a load of fire starter cubes!

Keep an eye on Walmart stock Troy. Last year I loaded up on Weber lighter cubes at $1 per box.

Target has gotten wiser to us clearance hawks, they hold a lot less inventory than they did in years past.  Additionally, they are not reducing the prices as drastically as they have in the past.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Any of the Target stores I've been to near me in NY seem to have pretty much nothing in the way of weber stuff.
Its amazing how quickly one weber kettle turns into more than a dozen!  Always open to grabbing something interesting so let me know what you've got!

they don't carry hardly any Weber stuff at ours.  Definitely not the charcoal.  I think they lost their ass on it last year so they stopped carrying it.

that was a big help!  Found a hinged 18" grate at a store I dont normally frequent for $5.38 and figured I'd try one of these wooden scrapers out too!

I picked up a couple 18" grates.  The rack they were on still said $14.99, but I checked them at one of the scanning stations and they came up at $4.48.  Sold.

I love Weber Cubes, but don’t they dry out if they sit too long? Is “stocking up” really a good idea? Anybody found a good way to keep ‘em from drying out?

Each purchase of a weber grill is a very special and rare occasion for me as they are rare to come by around here.
