Title: Beach Tri Tip & met a grate WKC member

My wife and I have been vacationing in St George Island, Florida for close to 10 years and Greg @bamakettles and his wife for 14 years.

The stars aligned and we just happen to be vacationing on SGI at the same time as Greg. His beach front rental house is a easy mile walk down the beach from our house.

Greg and I made plans to meet up for lunch and a beer with our spouses.

The four of us meet at Paddy’s Raw bar on the island. Cold beer, good food and great conversation. Greg it was a pleasure to meet you and your wife.

I’d like to thank Greg for giving me a nib SnS for my recently acquired red 18” A/B code kettle. I put it to good use that evening, cooking tri tip on the beach. Thanks Greg!

Dinner at the beach was tri tip, baked potato and asparagus.
An other small beach fire after dinner.

I used ground coffe per your suggestion. We really like coffe, salt and pepper on our  tri tip. Thanks again for the tip.

It was really nice meeting you Robert and your wife too.  Lunch was fun!  Thanks so much for the T-shirt, I’ll have to wear it for the next cook.

Your dinner looks amazing!  We had leftover grilled burgers that did not disappoint.  Glad you could use the SnS.

Leftover tri tip was used for an egg scramble the next morning for breakfast

Cubed tri tip, minced onions, jalapeno, diced tomatoes, roasts poblano pepper, baked potato cubed, Cabot pepper jack cheese and avocado with warmed flour tortillas. A good use of leftovers.
