Title: Meater Probe not connecting after 2 cooks.
Post by: rams8821@yahoo.com on September 30, 2020, 03:09:47 PM
Hope one of y'all could maybe help me out.

Bought a Meater Probe worked great for 2 cooks.

Now it won't connect.  I've cleaned the heck out of it as they suggested.  Still no dice.

Any of y'all have one of these and experienced this?  I'm afraid this is going to be a waste of money.  Worked great 2 times...

Thanks.

I’ve got one and it has worked great. With the kettle or WSM, I find I need to keep the base close to the cooker.  I sit mine on the Performer table or I have a shelf on my WSM that I set it on. This works well.

When I set the base about 10’ away it starts to become dodgy for me.

Also, I steel wool the probes every couple of cooks. The end with the number can become covered in grease/smoke and prevent charging.

I’m certainly a meater fan.  After a bumpy start, they have a nice product.

I wouldn't state the obvious, but I did experience the same problem. Replace the battery. I only get 2-3 cooks out of a battery.
