Title: Another pellet adventure
Post by: bbqking01 on June 28, 2020, 06:59:18 PM
I’m not sure where to put my pellet cooks. I know this is charcoal cooks section, and I’m using charcoal flavored pellets. Anyways, did my first tritip on the smoke fire, and some bbq sauced chicken breast. I probably won’t do tritip on the pellet again...charcoal just does it better! Chicken should be ok. Sauce the chicken when done, let it set and carmelize the sauce.

I put tri tip in my pellet grill until 110 internal and while that is going fire up the performer very hot to sear each side for about 45 seconds. Wife says "Don't change anything!!".

Wait...Charcoal flavored pellets?

Is everyone else missing the irony here?

Seriously, good looking food.

Well the irony is, I don’t care for the “wood flavored pellet” taste. The charcoal “flavored” pellets seem to be just right. I know it’s ironic, but its my irony! [emoji23] Ive done just about everything on the SmokeFire, and I’m really liking it. Haven’t done burgers or dogs yet, but that’s coming.
