the lesser triangle is what you usually find on a Weber made for walmart or elsewhere, it's the Economy Kettle

The triangle in the bottom photo has been nicknamed the "racing triangle" here on the WKC.

Been wondering about this for a long time.  I replaced mine on my 2006 with a wider one with all the supports after extending the legs.  It did come from wall mart!
