Title: 8th Annual Chicago meetup date announced

There are many meetups that take place around the country all throughout the year, none match the big daddy in Chicago.  Nothing against the others but this one gets members from all over the country and from around the world.

The location will be the same as last year @No1Agent 's house in Elgin, Ill

The date is July 18th.

Hoping to get some members who have never made the trip make it this year.   

Also maybe we can get @AnotherPintPlease to maybe come out and photo document the occasion.  I told you Mike we would let you know when the event is taking place.

I’ve got the date down and absent something unforeseen plan on making it! I’m hoping to shoot stills and video and put something together! Thanks for thinking of me! Happy New Year everyone!

... so the 8th anual Chicago meetup falls on my birthday this year. Hmmm Grill Therapy has got to find away out to Chi town for this.

I've been to a few of those Chicago meetups. Hosted a couple and been to a few others out here in the Mid Atlantic. From what I've seen out of SoCal, NE, St Louis and other locals, I think they all match up pretty damn well, and the effort that goes into each one deserves the same level of respect. The traveling banner has members signatures from all over on it. Not sure it's ever been to Chicago. Maybe it's time.

Nothing against the big daddy, but in my opinion the best meetup is the next one - wherever you are.

I agree that the next one is the best one.  One day I'm hoping to make it out to the "Big Daddy" or Mid West meet up

4.5 hour flight.   Chicago is a grate place to visit in July.

THIS is one of my favorite days of the year.   It'll be nice to see friends, old and new. If you're on the fence about coming, just do it. Come with an empty stomach and a grill or 2 to show off. It's ALWAYS a GRATE time.

I could not make last year’s event but definitely want to attend this year. Will the address be released closer to the event date?

Yes, it will be in Elgin again this year, just not at Brian's house.

Just bring extra toilet paper. People are going crazy for that stuff lately [emoji23]. I would think things like milk and eggs and bread would be selling out but nope.  It’s toilet paper.

July 18 is a ways away & many in the health field suspect that this is one of the viruses that doesn't transmit as easily as the weather gets warmer.  I assume we are just going to wait & see.

The virus issue will likely be a thing of the past by the, hopefully we all have some sanity and the US is still around.
