Title: ad libbed pork butt
Post by: rober on October 06, 2019, 07:29:38 AM
haven't been on the forum for awhile but thought i'd share this. I was getting ready to do a low n slow pork butt when I discovered the grandkids drank all my apple juice. I did not feel like going to the grocery so I injected the butt with root beer before adding my rub. it turned out great. you can taste the sweet but not the root beer.

I’ll try that sometime. It sounds good.

Root Beer is a great idea.  I usually use Dr. Pepper as the main ingredient for my pork butt injection.
