Post by: foshizzle on July 22, 2019, 09:41:26 PM
It is for sale (not mine) but it’s the mod that’s interesting.

Must be a tall grill fella.  Personally I think that larger wheels and casters would have been a cleaner way to raise the height a few inches.  I would have probably tried to design a new metal bracket or cut some square bar to do it the way he did it.  Would be a lot more solid that way too.

I just place mine on a layer of 4 inch pavers.
I'm 6'5" and the 4 inch lift is just right plus it's fireproof.

^^THIS^^
No muss, no fuss.
Those bolts just don't seem sturdy enough, and I do NOT like the appearance...

I never would have thought of this.  However, I am also about 9 inches shorter than you and I know that when you are that tall you have to improvise ALOT.  Awesome suggestion!

12inch tires on the back and added casters to front. This frame was not gas assist so it didn't have  casters on the front.
Brought it up 2 inches and she rides smooth.

That thing is sweet @Red_5_Wrangler

Did it come with those wood slats? Is that also a non gas assist thing?

I turned a Gasser from a project to a scrap pile recently and it had the durawood shelves. I detached one side of the shelf cut them to length and reattached the bracket.

It still needs clean up and some all thread through the cross bars but it's getting there.
