Title: Mini chimney
Post by: DrewZ on October 27, 2018, 04:38:36 PM
So.  Last night, I decide to bust out the blue wave SJ for a spur of the moment burger.

But I'm not a taco fan, so . . . as the coals fired in the rapidfire chimney, I remembered I excised the handle strap from a roached SSP bowl.  Just for fun, I replaced the taco handle with a standard one.

That left me with an orphaned taco handle. I had been pondering putting together a mini chimney to use when firing up the 4-8 briqs I'll use when starting a long low-slow cook.  I also had a spare section of galvanized stove pipe sitting around, so after a little snipping and drilling, I've got a mini chimney. Now I just need to find something to cook low and slow to try it out.

Very nice.  The taco actually looks good on it.
