Title: Any way to "shut down" a KettlePizza?
Post by: ffej on July 10, 2018, 05:19:53 AM
I have KettlePizza with the baking steel, just curious if anyone here has a clever way to shut down\snuff out the coals while using a KettlePizza?

Removing the KettlePizza with baking steel seems like a very dangerous thing, so I've just been letting it die out by itself overnight.

Be sure to have an extra kettle on hand ....Using only the bowl.

When you're done cooking pies, transfer the KP unit, then put the lid on the kettle that you were using the KP on.
Close all the vents.
