Title: Raised the coals and got a great result
Post by: theboycalledleaf on May 06, 2018, 11:19:10 AM
I've previously put my coals on the rack beneath the grill with mixed results. This time I upturned an aluminium tray and placed my coals on the top to the back of the oven. They were lifted around 2-3 inches so they just touched the grill.
Popped my stone in, waited a while and made pizza with a home made dough and sauce.
Kept it simple, great results.
Lifting the coals really helped to increase temps and heat the dome. Just need to turn the pizza more often.
Two pies done, next time more dough for a Nutella and banana pizza for desert!
