Title: Smoked/BBQ Meatloaf tonight
Post by: Rougerocco on September 11, 2017, 07:43:08 PM
I work a 12 night shift so my Weber has been sitting TOO MUCH!
My son has been asking for my meatloaf, SO I got up prior to getting him from school and fired up the Weber! Turned out great, sorry no pictures.....Next cook  ;D

I use 1.5 to 2 lbs of ground chuck and a pound of Italian sausage. about half cup of bread crumbs or last night a couple of pieces of bread tore up. Egg,Salt, pepper, garlic salt, worcester, and some fine chopped carrots. I line the loaf pan with plastic wrap form the loaf and set it set up while I start the fire. Flip pan over onto grill. Cook indirect for about 75-90 mins. or 160*internal  cooked at 325
:D

We use a similar recipe, but BJ's sells a meatball mixture that has pork, beef and veal that we use as a base.  We also do a bacon weave and wrap the meatloaf in it prior to cooking.  I just fill my two baskets with charcoal and slide them to either side, throw a chunk of pecan or apple in each basket, and cook the meatloaf until it comes to 165.  It's so good!

The best thing about meatloaf is that almost any recipe tastes awesome!

It looks like this, almost too nice looking to eat
